In collaboration with the Caltech Postdoctoral Association and Innovate Pasadena, BCLA held another Biotech Mixer at Caltech's Dabney Lounge in Pasadena, on April 23rd, 2018.
We welcomed more than 160 attendees from burgeoning start-ups, biotech companies, non-profits, and academia who enjoyed the evening networking and mingling. During our sponsors’ spotlight, Mike Giardello, Ph.D., co-founder and chairman of Innovate Pasadena & Partner at Mount Wilson Ventures, and Diego Benitez, Ph.D., founder of Progress Brewing, inspired the audience with their stories transitioning from bench scientists at Caltech to local entrepreneurs.
Students, postdocs, and professionals actively networked with each other. Several great discussions about biotech innovation in LA took place.
This was the first event BCLA has organized in Pasadena, and we are excited for many more to come!
