On December 3rd, our BCLA community gathered at Q’s Billiard Club for our Annual Holiday Mixer, a warm, joyful, and genuinely fun night that brought together the people who shaped this year’s momentum in LA biotech. The room filled quickly, and from the very beginning, there was an infectious energy: laughter over shared plates of food, spontaneous conversations between students, scientists, and industry professionals, and new connections forming around the pool tables. One of the highlights of the night was seeing everyone together in the same space; not in a conference room, but truly shoulder-to-shoulder, celebrating the end of a busy year.
The mixer offered the perfect balance of networking and celebration, a chance to reconnect with colleagues we met throughout the year at conferences or panels, while also welcoming newcomers who are just beginning to explore the LA biotech ecosystem. And perhaps most importantly, it reminded all of us that progress isn’t only built through programming and events, but through the relationships and shared moments that hold a community together.
As we wrap up 2025, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, supported us, or contributed time and energy to BCLA; this holiday mixer wasn’t just a party, but a reflection of how far we’ve come and the excitement we feel heading into 2026. Thank you for being part of this growing and inspiring community; none of this would be possible without the collective energy that everyone brings, and we’re eager to see where the next year takes us. We are also deeply grateful to our core sponsors, Magnify at CNSI, the USC Michelson Center Bridge Institute, KGI, LA BioSpace, Teknova, and Amgen, whose sustained partnership and investment continue to elevate and strengthen the biotech community across Los Angeles.
